About the role
Main Purpose of Job 1.Partner with external AI companies to tailor and implement AI model/agent applications that address specific tasks across engineering, research, and quality domains. 2.Bridge the gap between cutting-edge LLM capabilities and our business needs, driving the adoption of AI to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and innovation in Nestle.
Job Description 1.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify pain points and define clear AI application requirements. Establish and maintain effective communication and collaboration with external AI service providers. Coordinate requirements gathering, technical alignment, and iterative optimization to ensure AI models meet our domain-specific needs. 2.Support the customization, fine-tuning, and adaptation of open or partnermodels to support diverse tasks cross Nestle group. Design and implement technical solutions to integrate customized models, including LLMs, into our existing systems (e.g., manufacturing execution systems, quality management platforms, engineering design tools). Ensure seamless data flow, model compatibility, and system stability. 3.Design and prototype original AI/ML solutions tailored to Nestlé’s research, engineering, manufacturing, and quality challenges. 4.Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies to validate the performance, accuracy, and reliability of AI model applications in real-world scenarios. Analyze test results, collect user feedback, and work with external partners to optimize models for better performance. 5.Create detailed documentation for AI model integration processes, application usage guidelines, and technical specifications. Conduct knowledge sharing sessions with internal teams to promote the effective use of AI tools and solutions. 6.Keep abreast of the latest developments in LLM technology and AI applications in engineering, manufacturing, science, and quality fields. Propose innovative AI application ideas to drive continuous improvement of our business processes.
Job Requirements 1.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related technical field. 2.1-3 years of experience in ML/AI, including basic implementation and engineering, with experience in LLM application development, customization, or integration. 3.Experience collaborating with external technology vendors is a strong plus. 4.Strong proficiency with Python ML tools (e.g. PyTorch/TensorFlow/Jax, pandas/polars, scikit-learn, git, etc.) and familiar with common LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI responses/messages API). 5.Basic understanding of AI system architecture and cloud resourcing desired. 6.Experience with applied deep learning is essential. Application expertise in computer vision, RL, control, robotics, and/or NLP a strong plus. 7.Basic understanding of engineering, manufacturing or quality management processes is preferred; ability to quickly learn domain-specific knowledge. 8.Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and troubleshoot technical issues during model integration and application. 9.Good communication and collaboration skills. 10.Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on the quality and reliability of AI applications.
