The NOC Support Engineer role in Noida is pivotal in ensuring seamless network operations within the telecom sector. As a Level 3 engineer, the incumbent will provide expert support on incident resolutions and technical operations across a wide array of network technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, and cloud platforms. Description - Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in network monitoring or technical support roles within the telecom sector. - Strong understanding of networking concepts including OSI Model, TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, and routing & switching. - Proficiency in monitoring tools such as BMC Helix and Nagios, with experience in incident handling using systems like SMP, Remedy, or Jira. - Basic troubleshooting skills, including the ability to perform ping, traceroute, telnet, SSH, and SNMP checks. - Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, with optional exposure to virtualization technologies. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail for monitoring alerts and logs. - Effective communication skills to interact with L2 teams, vendors, and stakeholders, with the ability to document and escalate incidents efficiently. Key Responsibilities - Provide L1 support for incident resolutions and technical operations on WAN technologies such as routers, switches, firewalls, proxies, and load balancers. - Utilize strong technical skills in L2 and L3 networking protocols to ensure smooth network operations and performance. - Manage and resolve network faults and incidents from P1 through P4 within specified SLAs, ensuring swift response and resolution. - Implement ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management practices, adhering to established service level agreements. - Collaborate with external suppliers such as BT and Verizon to address and resolve ongoing network issues effectively. - Report network status to key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and timely communication of incidents and resolutions. - Demonstrate flexibility in work approach by participating in 24/7 rotational shifts, ensuring continuous network monitoring. - Monitor alerts using BMC Helix Operation Management tool, create tickets, and perform L1 investigation and supplier management for approximately 4,000 devices. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Interview Process AI based interview.
