About the role
Role Overview We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with 34 years of experience in web and/or mobile test automation. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks, ensuring high product quality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate should also have exposure to Gen AI tools and an understanding of how they can be leveraged in automation testing (test generation, optimization, etc.). Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Appium, Katalon Studio, or similar frameworks Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks for scalability and efficiency Analyze test results, debug issues, and report defects effectively Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to understand requirements and ensure quality Participate in test planning, test case design, and execution (manual + automation) Perform regression, smoke, and sanity testing Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure Pipelines, Jenkins) Ensure adequate test coverage for critical business functionalities Maintain proper documentation for test cases, scripts, and execution reports Required Skills Strong experience with automation tools: Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Katalon Studio Proficiency in programming languages: Java, Python, or JavaScript Hands-on experience with frameworks: TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber (BDD) Good understanding of API testing (Postman, Rest Assured, etc.) Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines) Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology Strong understanding of software testing concepts and SDLC/STLC Expertise in writing efficient locators (XPath, CSS selectors) Strong debugging and analytical skills Good to Have (Add-on Skills) Experience with Katalon Studio for end-to-end test automation and reporting Experience in mobile automation (Android/iOS) Exposure to modern tools like Cypress, Playwright, or Maestro Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) Basic understanding of SQL/database queries Soft Skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and take ownership Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail Preferred Candidate Profile Experience in handling end-to-end automation for projects Ability to contribute to framework design and improvements Experience working in fast-paced Agile environments Role Overview We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with 34 years of experience in web and/or mobile test automation.
