We're looking for a robust backend engineer to build and scale platform services powering search, reporting, integrations, AI workflows, and operational systems. What You'll Do Design and build scalable backend services using hashtag#Ruby/Rails Develop APIs, async workflows, and platform capabilities Work on search, reporting, integrations, and AI-driven workflows Improve system reliability, observability, and performance Debug and resolve production issues across services and infrastructure Collaborate on architecture, system design, and technical decisions Contribute to platform and engineering best practices Required Skills Robust proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails Strong backend engineering and system design fundamentals Experience building scalable APIs and distributed systems Positive understanding of databases, caching, and async processing Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and production infrastructure Robust debugging and problem-solving skills Ownership mindset and ability to work independently Good to Have hashtag#Python and AI/agent-based workflow experience Exposure to hashtag#LLMs, AI agents, or workflow automation systems Experience with Argo Workflows Rails upgrades and large-scale migrations Elasticsearch/OpenSearch and hashtag#MongoDB hashtag#Kafka, NATS, hashtag#RabbitMQ, or similar systems Observability and monitoring tools Experience: 45 years in backend engineering, with exposure to scalable production systems What We're Looking For Product-minded, execution-focused engineers with strong ownership comfortable working across backend, platform, and infrastructure layers.
