About the role
We are looking for a skilled Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our database systems. The ideal candidate will ensure database availability, security, performance tuning, and support for business-critical applications. Install, configure, and maintain database servers (SQL 2017 SQL 2025). Monitor database performance and conduct regular performance tuning. Troubleshoot database issues and work with development teams to resolve them. Optimize queries and stored procedures for application performance. Ensure data integrity, replication, and data migration between environments. Automate database tasks and maintain documentation. Support database upgrades, patching, and version migrations. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 35 years of experience as a Database Administrator or Database Engineer.Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL ServerExperience with performance tuning and optimization (PTO).Experience in database backup, restore, and recovery methods.Experience with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) concepts.Familiarity with Linux/Windows server environments.Understanding of SQL scripting. Experience with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL). Experience with other DB technologies (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Timescale, ClickHouse, Sybase) Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis).
