Manual QA Tester

Job Summary We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Manual QA Tester to validate a newly developed Gallery ERP system against the existing production ERP. The primary responsibility is to perform comprehensive functional testing, identify behavioral differences, uncover hidden defects, analyze API/request payloads, investigate root causes, and provide clear, actionable reports to the development team. This role requires someone who enjoys deep investigation rather than simply reporting bugs. Key ResponsibilitiesFunctional Comparison Testing Compare the new ERP system against the existing production ERP module-by-module.Verify that all existing workflows behave identically unless intentionally redesigned.Identify missing features, incorrect behavior, and functional gaps.Validate business rules, calculations, permissions, inventory flows, sales processes, purchasing workflows, consignments, reporting, and financial transactions.Gap Analysis Create detailed gap reports between the old and new systems. Categorize findings as: Critical DefectsFunctional GapsUI/UX IssuesData Integrity IssuesPerformance ConcernsEnhancement OpportunitiesPayload & API Validation Inspect browser network traffic and API requests/responses. Compare payloads generated by old and new systems. Identify: Missing fieldsIncorrect valuesMapping errorsValidation failuresData synchronization issuesSerialization/deserialization problemsRoot Cause Investigation Go beyond symptom reporting and determine probable root causes. Trace issues through: User actionsAPI requestsDatabase recordsBusiness logic workflows Provide evidence supporting conclusions. Data Verification Validate database records against application behavior.Verify inventory quantities, pricing, commissions, consignments, accounting entries, customer records, vendor records, and transaction history.Documentation & Reporting Create detailed defect reports including: Steps to reproduceExpected resultActual resultScreenshots/videosPayload comparisonsRoot cause observationsBusiness impact assessment Maintain test cases and regression test suites.
