Workday Extend+ Integration Consultant Location: Remote Engagement: Full-Time Contract Certification: Workday Extend certification preferred About the Role We're looking for an experienced Workday Extend+ Integration Consultant to design, build, and support custom applications and integrations on the Workday platform. You'll work closely with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to extend Workday's native functionality and connect it with third-party systems, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop custom applications using Workday Extend, including custom objects, business processes, and UI componentsBuild and maintain integrations between Workday and external systems using Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIBs, and Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST)Partner with functional teams (HCM, Payroll, Financials) to gather requirements and translate them into technical specificationsDevelop custom APIs and orchestrations to support business-specific workflows not covered by out-of-the-box Workday functionalityTroubleshoot integration failures, performance issues, and data discrepancies across environmentsSupport tenant configuration changes, security group setup, and business process customizations tied to Extend appsConduct unit testing, UAT support, and documentation for all custom buildsMonitor integration health and proactively resolve errors in productionCollaborate with Workday's release management cycles (bi-annual updates) to ensure custom apps remain compatibleProvide knowledge transfer and technical documentation to internal teams Required Skills & Experience 3+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Integrations (Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Web Services)Direct experience building and deploying Workday Extend applications (custom objects, orchestrations, custom APIs)Strong understanding of Workday security model, business process framework, and calculated fieldsExperience with XML, XSLT, JSON, and REST/SOAP web servicesFamiliarity with Workday Studio and Extend Studio development lifecycleAbility to troubleshoot complex integration issues independentlyStrong communication skills for working with distributed, cross-functional teams Preferred Qualifications Workday Extend CertificationAdditional Workday certifications (Integrations, HCM, or Financials)Experience in multi-tenant or multi-client consulting environmentsPrior experience supporting Workday releases and regression testing for custom apps .
