About the role
Responsibilities

Evangelize and advocate proper use of the design system across teams to enable consistent experiences, reuse and efficient design & development.

Lead efforts to understand, explore, and evolve design systems based on user feedback.

Act as a bridge between product designers and the design system team by gathering, documenting, and informing the design system. Communicate and articulate design system updates and decisions across teams.

Work collaboratively on a larger design team made up of interaction designers, visual designers, motion designers, researchers, PMs, and front-end developers focused on aligned goals.

Understand complex problems, prioritize needs, and design with high quality and thoroughness. Have a passion for raising the product craft bar by driving best practices.

Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) that define a successful design system.
Qualifications

5+ years (post education) of relevant design experience with proven success in working with partners and customers.

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in product design, HCI, interaction design, industrial design, communication design, architecture, or equivalent experience.

Experience creating, maintaining, and evolving a library of reusable UI components, patterns and guidelines.

Presentation of a strong design portfolio (depth and breadth of interaction and visual).

Ability to quickly produce elegant and easily understood diagrams, wireframes, concept maps, prototypes, interaction guidelines and other related artifacts for a strong interaction point-of-view.

Good fundamental design skills (typography, iconography, composition, color, layout, etc.) and creation of a variety of visual mood boards, storyboards, creative briefs, and motion and visual guidelines.

Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and other relevant design tools.

Demonstrable ability to work with program management, engineering, and research.
