About the internship: Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Build and iterate on voice agent pipelines: streaming ASR; intent and dialogue logic; LLM reasoning; TTS output. 2. Integrate speech and language APIs (ASR, TTS, LLM providers) and evaluate alternatives on accuracy, latency, and cost. 3. Write prompts, tool definitions, and conversation flows that hold up across messy, unpredictable real-world calls. 4. Measure and reduce end-to-end latency: profile each stage, find the bottleneck, fix it, prove it moved. 5. Test against difficult audio: accents, dialects, noise, overlapping speech, interruptions and barge-in. 6. Build evaluation harnesses and test suites so quality is measured, not guessed at. 7. Work on Arabic-language voice capability, including Gulf dialect handling. 8. Document what you build so the rest of the team can run it without you. 9. Contribute to internal tooling, demos, and prototypes for new voice use cases. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 2. Strong Python; comfortable with async code and REST APIs. 3. Working understanding of LLMs: prompting, context handling, function/tool calling. 4. Familiarity with at least one speech technology: ASR/STT, TTS, or audio processing. 5. Able to read documentation and get an unfamiliar API running without hand-holding. 6. Clear written and spoken English.
