About the role
Process Tech Description: Responsible for analyzing, documenting and improving processes, systems and equipment in the extrusion department. • Develop and implement process improvement efforts aimed at improved safety performance, reducing gross and net scrap, improving line efficiencies and reducing downtime while meeting or exceeding customer expectation. • Develop the necessary process documentation for the Extrusion operations. • Coordinate implementation of any new processes in manufacturing including follow up on safety performance, equipment, and installation. • Reviews process parameters and equipment parameters and performance for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, personnel safety, customer requirements and related specifications. • Develop and foster operational discipline in our processes. • Develop and provide technical training of new processes for operating personnel. • Provides direct support to manufacturing for capability issues not within ability of production to resolve. • Controls expenditures within limitations of department and plant budgets. • Prepares interim and completion project reports where applicable. • Stays informed concerning new manufacturing technology and equipment, and investigates their potential application. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferred) or 2+ years process improvement/project experience in a manufacturing environment. • Experience in film extrusion, resins and wide web winding (preferred) • Trained and certified in continuous improvement methodology (Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred). • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong presentation skills. • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously. • Strong analytical, numerical, statistical, computer and reasoning skills. • Excellent Microsoft Excel experience • Strong background in cost savings & continuous improvement projects . • Ability to interact with others at all levels. . • Must be detail-oriented. • Capable of, and commit to follow the plant and departmental safety procedures, food safety guidelines and ISO procedure • Continuous learning will be expected • Able to work on off shifts and weekends as needed go back to careers Rochester - New York Nick Bhatia May 18, 2026 Facebook 0 Twitter 0 Likes
