Embedded Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware and software for microcontrollers and microprocessors across various hardware platforms - Write efficient, well-structured, and well-documented C/C++ code for embedded targets - Perform hardware bring-up, board-level debugging, and peripheral driver development for interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, and Ethernet - Develop and integrate real-time operating system (RTOS) based applications using FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or similar platforms - Collaborate with hardware design teams to review schematics, PCB layouts, and component selections for embedded system integration - Develop test plans, unit tests, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test setups to validate embedded firmware functionality - Debug and resolve firmware issues using tools such as JTAG debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers - Optimize embedded code for performance, memory footprint, and power consumption - Participate in design reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning sessions - Prepare and maintain technical documentation including firmware architecture documents, interface specifications, and test reports
