About the role
Job Title: Software Engineer (SE) – Mumbai Company: Newgen Software Technologies Ltd. Location: Mumbai We are looking for a Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions using Java technologies. The role involves working across the SDLC and ensuring quality delivery. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement software solutions using Java, J2EE, SQL/Oracle Participate in coding, code reviews, unit testing, system testing, and UAT Prepare technical documents such as design documents, test cases, and deployment plans Perform troubleshooting, log analysis, and database query optimization Follow coding standards and quality processes Support POCs, client demos, and installations Required Skills: Strong skills in Java, JSP, Servlets, J2EE, JBoss Hands-on experience with SQL / Oracle Understanding of OOPs, multi-tier architecture, and web applications Good knowledge of SDLC and system integration Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Eligibility Criteria: Education: B.E / B.Tech (CS/IT) or MCA Experience: 1–2 Years (relevant experience only) Minimum 60% throughout academics No major academic or career gaps Desired Traits: Good communication and teamwork skills Analytical mindset with attention to detail Willingness to work in client-facing roles / different shifts Flexible and quick learner
