About the role
About the internship: Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Design detailed 3D CAD models, mechanical assemblies, and production-ready technical drawings. 2. Generate CAM tool paths and operate physical workshop machinery (e.g., lathes, CNC tools, 3D printers) to manufacture precision metal/plastic components. 3. Perform hands-on assembly, calibration, and finishing of mechanical prototypes using standard hand and power tools (grinders, drills, sanders) on the shop floor. 4. Apply design for manufacturing (DFM) principles to optimize structural integrity, machining tolerances, and production feasibility. Education: Must be a graduate in mechanical, production, aerospace, or an allied branch (Current students are strictly not eligible). 2. Hardware/Software: Must own a personal laptop capable of handling heavy 3D CAD workloads and currently have a working version of SolidWorks installed. 3. Portfolio: Must have a portfolio (GitHub, Drive, or website) showcasing photos/videos of physical mechanical hardware actually built and assembled by the candidate (not just digital renders). 4. Logistics: Must be fully prepared to relocate to Bhubaneswar immediately for a highly physical, fast-paced 3-month shop-floor role.
