DBA (Database Administrator)

Role Overview: As a Database Administrator (DBA) at Bristlecone, your primary responsibility will be to manage and optimize AWS Aurora databases. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance, availability, and security of the databases. Key Responsibilities: - Administer and manage AWS Aurora (MySQL/PostgreSQL) databases - Perform installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades - Execute database performance tuning and query optimization - Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes - Handle database migrations using AWS DMS - Implement infrastructure automation using Terraform - Monitor database health and troubleshoot production issues - Ensure data security, compliance, and high availability Qualification Required: - 5+ years of DBA experience - Strong hands-on experience with AWS Aurora (MySQL / PostgreSQL) - Proficiency in SQL and database performance tuning - Experience with AWS DMS - Working knowledge of Terraform - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Additional Details: Experience in an AWS production environment is preferred.
