Software Engineer (Python/DevOps)

As a highly skilled Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the following: - Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and microservices using Python (experience in Golang is a plus). - Building and enhancing cloud-native applications on AWS to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability. - Collaborating with product teams to define architecture, implement new features, and optimize existing systems. - Developing automation tools and internal frameworks to streamline deployment, monitoring, and operational efficiency. - Applying software engineering best practices such as test-driven development (TDD), unit/integration testing, and comprehensive documentation. - Contributing to the design and evolution of containerized systems using Kubernetes and Docker. - Participating in system design reviews, technical discussions, and code reviews with global peers. Qualifications required for this role include: - BS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent practical experience). - 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on large-scale system design and backend development. - Strong proficiency in Python, with exposure to Golang and Bash scripting. - Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS cloud services. - Familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar) not as a primary function, but as part of your software delivery process. - Knowledge of infrastructure security, vulnerability management, or compliance frameworks (PCI, SOC2) is a plus. - Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills within global, cross-functional teams.
