About the role
Develop and review detailed working drawings for retail fit-outs and fixtures. Create accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) based on design specifications. Estimate project costs, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards. Collaborate with the design and production teams to ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing. Use SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other relevant software to develop and refine technical drawings. Analyze project requirements, offer value engineering solutions, and optimize cost and material usage. Maintain records of design modifications and cost variations throughout the project lifecycle. Liaise with vendors, procurement teams, and other stakeholders for material sourcing and cost negotiations. Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and software to improve the design and cost estimation processes. Qualifications Experience Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the retail fit-out, fixtures, or furniture industry. Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other design and engineering software. Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and cost estimation techniques. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities to ensure precise design and cost estimations.
