Etl Testing Engineer (Telangana)

Role & responsibilities - Analyze business and data requirements to develop effective test strategies and plans for ETL processes. - Design, develop, and execute ETL test cases, SQL queries, and test scripts for data validation. - Conduct data completeness, transformation, and reconciliation testing to ensure data accuracy across systems. - Validate data mapping, schema changes, and data load processes within the data warehouse. - Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or other defect tracking systems. - Collaborate with development and business teams to resolve data discrepancies and issues. - Perform performance testing to analyze ETL job execution times and recommend efficiency improvements. - Automate ETL test scripts using tools like Python, Selenium, or other automation frameworks. - Proficient in SQL, with the ability to write and optimize complex queries for data validation. - Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS). - Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts, including star/snowflake schemas and relational databases (Vertica, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.). - Experience with Python and developing automation utilities. - Experience with ETL testing methodologies, including data completeness, correctness, transformation, and reconciliation testing. - Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau for report validation. - Familiarity with defect tracking tools (JIRA, HP ALM, Bugzilla, etc.). - Basic knowledge of Big Data and Cloud platforms (AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Google BigQuery) is a plus. - Experience with scripting languages (Python / Java Selenium) for test automation. - Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies. Preferred candidate profile - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - ETL Testing certification (if any) is a plus. - Experience in automation testing for ETL workflows. - Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - SQL - Any Database (Vertica/Oracle/SQL Server etc.) - Any ETL Tool (Airflow/Informatica/Altryx etc.) - Test Management Tool (JIRA Zephyr) - BI tools such as Micro Strategy or Tableau for report validation ETL automation with Python .
