Mep Design Engineer

DESIGN ENGINEER Responsibilities Developing detailed designs for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in accordance with project requirements. Collaborating with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure integrated design solutions. Conducting site inspections and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and codes. Providing technical support and guidance throughout the construction process. Performing calculations and simulations to ensure system efficiency. Reviewing and approving project plans, specifications, and estimates. Preparing documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. 3+ years of experience in MEP design or a related field. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software. Strong understanding of industry codes and standards. Excellent communication and project management skills. Skills AutoCAD Revit Building Information Modeling (BIM) HVAC Design Electrical Design Plumbing Design Project Management Energy Efficiency Analysis Problem-solving Technical Documentation Additional Responsibilities: Fire Safety Design: Design and specify structural components for fire suppression systems (e.g., sprinkler systems, fire hydrants), fire alarm systems (e.g., smoke detectors, alarm panels), and fire-rated enclosures for electrical and mechanical equipment. CCTV and Access Control: Design and specify structural components for CCTV cameras, access control systems, and associated equipment, ensuring they are properly installed and supported. HVAC Design: Design structural supports for HVAC equipment and ductwork, considering factors like vibration, weight, and seismic loads.
