Role Overview: As a Specialist Software Architect at NiCE, you will lead the architectural vision, design, and evolution of the AI-driven and Conversational Solutions platform. Your role will involve deep hands-on expertise in Python, AWS Cloud services, AWS Knowledge Hub, and multiple Knowledge Base technologies. You will be responsible for designing simplified, scalable, and resilient architectures using microservices and AWS-native services. Your critical contributions will shape the technical foundation of the Conversational AI platform, ensuring it can handle millions of interactions per day, meet strict SLAs, and support zero-downtime deployments. Key Responsibilities: - Own and define the end-to-end architecture of the Conversational AI and Knowledge platform, covering AI model integration layers, data stores, knowledge bases, and external integrations. - Design enterprise-scale, cloud-native, microservices-based architectures capable of handling high concurrency, burst traffic, and real-time conversational workloads. - Propose simplified, cost-effective architectural designs leveraging AWS-native services to ensure scalability and resilience. - Drive event-driven and asynchronous architectures using AWS-native services such as SQS, SNS, EventBridge, and Step Functions. - Define best practices for microservices design, domain-driven design, API design, and AI integration patterns. - Architect and evolve AI-driven Conversational solutions integrating large language models, prompt engineering patterns, and enterprise AI orchestration frameworks. - Design Knowledge Base solutions using AWS Knowledge Hub, vector databases, RAG architectures, and other knowledge management technologies. - Define AI model integration strategies, conversational UX architecture, and evaluate AI tooling, platforms, and frameworks. - Architect and optimize solutions using AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, and S3. - Design cost-efficient, elastic scaling strategies aligned with unpredictable conversational AI workloads. - Lead cloud governance, CI/CD pipeline standards, DevOps practices, and containerization approaches for AI workload deployments. - Design for extreme scale, resilience, disaster recovery, zero-downtime deployments, security, compliance, and reliability. - Act as a technical mentor, lead architecture reviews, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive the long-term AI architecture roadmap. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience. - 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 45 years in a software architect or principal engineer role. - Demonstrated experience designing and delivering AI-driven or Conversational AI platforms at enterprise scale. - Deep hands-on experience with Python, AWS Cloud services, microservices architectures, AI/ML libraries, API development, and automation scripting. - Strong understanding of modern authentication standards, web APIs, databases, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and containerization. - Experience designing systems for high traffic, low latency, high availability, resilience, disaster recovery, and failover design in cloud-native environments. - Good to have experience with CCaaS, multi-region SaaS deployments, Elasticsearch, cost optimization strategies, and frontend technologies.
