AI Principal Engineer

As a Principal AI Engineer at the world's leading consumer intelligence company, your role will involve embedding with business teams to understand workflows, pain points, and automation opportunities. You will design and build AI-powered tools to enhance internal productivity across various functions like finance, HR, operations, sales, and marketing. Your responsibilities will include rapid prototyping, iterating using modern AI/ML technologies, and deploying solutions in production to ensure reliability and measurable impact. You will bridge technical and non-technical teams, drive end-to-end delivery, and create reusable frameworks to accelerate future AI deployments. Key Responsibilities: - Embed with business teams to deeply understand workflows and pain points - Design and build AI-powered tools for internal productivity improvement - Rapidly prototype and iterate using modern AI/ML technologies - Deploy solutions in production with a focus on reliability and impact - Translate business problems into scalable engineering solutions - Drive end-to-end delivery from problem discovery to implementation - Create reusable frameworks to accelerate future AI deployments - Collaborate with distributed teams and deliver scalable solutions Qualifications: - 710+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning, or applied AI - Strong experience designing and deploying production-grade systems in cloud environments - Experience building and deploying AI/ML systems, ideally with LLMs or generative AI - Ability to work across the stack and deep understanding of system design - Knowledge of data engineering, analytics workflows, and global, cross-functional teamwork - Strong problem-solving skills, product mindset, communication skills, and bias for action - Nice to have familiarity with enterprise systems, Azure AI, Microsoft Copilot, and AI tools implementation At NIQ, you will have the opportunity to directly impact the company's operations, work in an agile team that ships quickly, and collaborate across all business functions.
