About the role
As a Software Engineer at NielsenIQ BASES in Chennai, you will be part of a global leader in helping consumer goods industries realize their growth strategies. With analytical SaaS products, you will support clients in creating new innovations, optimizing advertising strategies, designing package designs, and planning product launches across various verticals including Restaurants, Tech, Household Durables, Consumer Electronics, and Gaming. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and enhance single-page web applications and system features - Explore new technologies to advance the SaaS platform - Collaborate with teams to execute projects from requirements gathering to testing - Work closely with architects and other teams for cross-functional requirements - Participate in design and code reviews - Write clean code and continuously test applications - Follow community best practices and SDLC guidelines Qualifications: - 3 to 5 years of software development/engineering experience - BS in Software Engineering or related discipline - Proficiency in Java, Groovy, JavaScript - Familiarity with Springboot, Grails, Angular, ngRx, HTML, CSS - Experience with microservice development and web application development - Understanding of relational databases like MS SQL Server and non-relational databases like MongoDB - Experience with cloud vendors, preferably Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes - Strong time and project management skills - Familiarity with Agile processes and technical design - Passion for learning new technologies and business domain knowledge Additional Information: NielsenIQ offers a range of benefits including a flexible working environment, volunteer time off, LinkedIn Learning, and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
