Role & Responsibilities: Compliance IT is looking for a highly experienced Senior Developer in its Surveillance IT team for designing, coding and debugging whilst leading and mentoring the development team through the software lifecycle. The successful candidate will establish code standards, mentor developers, conduct code reviews and align technical solutions with the Group strategy. The individual must have ~10years of experience of modern technology stacks (Machine Learning, AWS, DevOps and Containerisation) to support applications the Surveillance estate. The individual will be required to carry out: Technical Leadership: Lead development projects, define technical approaches, and maintain architectural standards. Software Development: Coding, debugging, and developing complex applications and systems through the SDLC. Mentorship & Collaboration: Coach junior developers, review code quality, and collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., DevOps, product managers). System Design & Architecture: Create design plans, evaluate technology choices, and ensure scalability and security. Problem-Solving: Identify, analyse, and resolve complex technical defects and operational issues. Required Skills and Experience Strong skills in Python, Database, SQL, etc. Proven hands-on experience in Machine Learning, AWS, DevOps (CI/CD - GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible, Nexus, etc.) and Containerization (Kubernetes). Demonstrated use of AI capabilities Hands-on experience in building Gen AI applications involving natural language interfaces, LLM integration and structured data querying (ex., text-to-SQL, conversational analytics, etc.), Agentic AI LLM integration (OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic, etc.), Prompt engineering, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), Text-to-SQL systems, Vector databases, Agentic AI, etc. Hands-on experience on data lakes, ETL pipelines, Informatica, Business Insight tools, etc. Should have Quantexa developer certification or equivalent /higher. A proven track record in modern technology stacks able to bring fresh ideas and hit the ground running from Day 1 Duties and Responsibilities Build / enhance applications in the Surveillance area as needed. Work with users / stakeholders including application owners for upstream systems to resolve any issues. Take full ownership of issues that arise - provide analysis of issues, escalate them as and when necessary, and take them through to resolution within defined SLAs. Follow firm standards as may relate to issue documentation and incident management.
