As an Associate in Finance Data Analytics at Nomura, you will be a part of the Internal Audit team reporting to the Regional Portfolio Director in Powai. Your main responsibility will be to review data structures and develop data analytics to enhance the efficiency of Finance audits. Your role will involve collaborating closely with the Analytics & Digitalization team to develop innovative analytical tools for global audits, providing you with opportunities for growth in both data analytics and audit disciplines. Key Responsibilities: - Bring a data analysis driven approach to Finance and internal audit reviews by leveraging data analytics on data flows, transformations, and resulting balances. - Develop data analytics and automated testing to identify internal control weaknesses during audits. - Review the implementation of data management frameworks. - Assist in developing and executing Audit Programs. - Identify and resolve issues related to financial reporting, management reporting, operations, and data integrity. - Track implementation of recommended processes to strengthen internal controls. - Collaborate with the Analytics & Digitalization team to develop new analytical approaches and maintain data analytics code repositories. - Build relationships with Finance and other teams to support Internal Audit's objectives and monitor risks. - Assess risks and evaluate control structures and procedures within Finance and other corporate functions. - Share information with other Internal Audit team members. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related field. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Experience in data analytics, internal audit, or related field is preferred. - Knowledge of data management frameworks and internal control concepts. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
