About the role
Our client is seeking a talented, self-motivated Senior Industrial Engineer to join its energetic, fast-paced team in Nashville, Tennessee.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Conduct process analysis to discover any barriers to productivity and recommend and implement solutions Use method analysis to determine best practices for safety, ergonomics and fatigue factors Document a breakdown of job tasks for use in training materials and standard operational procedures Conduct work measurement to determine the time needed to perform accepted methods In conjunction with management, create and implement companywide standards Oversee a labor management system Budgeting Ensure quality standards are being met
Required skills and knowledge: Complete knowledge of work measurement activities, such as time study, methods time measurement, labor management systems, universal standard data and master standard data
Knowledge of distribution processes Desire to work in an environment that relies on a systematic, data-oriented approach to managing people and positive reinforcement as a performance maximizer Solid understanding of warehouse management inventory systems Excellent computer, analytical, and verbal and written communication skills ’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field required At least 4 of warehouse experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to conduct extended studies and research in a fast-paced, non-air-conditioned distribution center with exposure to dust and noise Some travel required
