Research Assistant

About the Opportunity

This job seeks a research assistant to work on one or more projects related to the development and assessment of wearable robotics.

Possible projects topics include:

1. Developing machine-learning based exoskeleton controllers to work across tasks
2. Designing and validating new robotic lower-limb prostheses
3. Exploring other high-risk high-reward research areas related to device design, control, and evaluation The ideal candidate will lead their own project, and support the engineering efforts for several PhD student led projects.

Qualifications

• MS in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or similar.

Compensation Grade/Pay Type

106S Expected Hiring Range: $48,610.00 - $66,838.75 With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
