About the role
Role Overview: You will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the installation, maintenance, connectivity, and security of network systems. Your expertise will be crucial in assessing short and long-term technology plans and process objectives to support the entire organization, ensuring a consistent, stable, and secure operation. As a Senior Manager in Network Engineering & Operations, you will drive continuous improvements in On-Prem, Colo, and Cloud Infrastructure structure, leveraging automation and promoting industry best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Lead, manage, and develop global Network engineering teams to deliver excellent results in line with business objectives - Define infrastructure structure strategy to deliver robust and resilient Network platforms for both on-premises and Cloud environments - Evaluate new technologies for appropriate use and manage the loss prevention of all Technology Equipment and Intellectual Property - Contribute to short-term and long-term network planning strategies aligned with company goals and objectives - Manage all aspects of network hardware/software and related technologies, ensuring stable and secure network systems - Oversee the consulting, acquisition, implementation, and support of various network technologies such as LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, ZTNA, and telecommunications systems - Implement best practices for network technology architecture and management and ensure appropriate controls and governance in infrastructure deployment and maintenance Qualifications Required: - 18-20 years of relevant experience in Network Technologies with at least 8 years in Managing Engineering teams - Masters degree or equivalent engineering degree preferred - Strong knowledge of network routing, switching, security, load balancer, firewall, DNS, DHCP, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, ZTNA, disaster recovery, and lifecycle management - Experience in audit, risk, and compliance request resolution and fulfillment - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Demonstrated leadership, cross-functional collaboration, organizational, and problem-solving skills Company Details: Northern Trust, a globally recognized Fortune 500 company, has been providing innovative financial services for over 130 years.
