The Role: Configuration Management is critical to engineering integrity, but every program doesn't always do it the same way. In this new role, as the CM/DM Capability Lead, you will bring consistency, technical expertise and structure to how Configuration and Data Management is delivered across Northrop Grumman Australia. This is a business-wide leadership role focused on improving processes, strengthening governance, uplifting capability and ensuring engineering data, baselines and change management practices are set up the right way from the start. With major programs including DARC and Triton continuing to evolve, you'll have the opportunity to shape how CM/DM is done across the organisation and leave a lasting impact. This role is based in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane and requires the ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance. Key Responsibilities Lead the CM/DM capability across NGA, driving a consistent approach across programs. Develop and improve CM/DM processes, governance and engineering data practices. Provide technical leadership on baselines, engineering change, configuration control and data management. Drive effective use and governance of PLM tools, including 3DX. Mentor CM/DM practitioners and support capability growth across the business. Partner with Engineering and Program stakeholders to improve outcomes, manage risks and solve complex problems. About You You are an experienced Configuration Management professional who understands the difference between managing documents and managing configuration. You have worked in Defence, aviation or another complex engineering environment where traceability, governance and change control matter. You enjoy building structure, improving processes and helping teams understand why good CM makes a difference. You'll bring: Significant Configuration Management and/or Data Management experience. Strong knowledge of baselines, engineering change and configuration control processes. Experience with PLM systems such as 3DX or similar platforms. The ability to influence stakeholders and drive adoption of better ways of working. A practical, solutions-focused approach combined with strong technical expertise.
