Role Overview: The Technical Service Specialist- Paints and Coatings will aim to advance technical service initiatives in the Paints and Coatings sectors aligned with the strategy, project, and RD&I functional standards. As a focal point for technical support for customers and the lab, you will explore innovative application developments within the industry and provide support to refine application research techniques. Your responsibilities will include executing application development tasks in line with sales and R&D functions and the global strategy. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing formulation work and ensuring all technical service tasks are completed accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain and promote a safe work environment, complying with safety policies and procedures. - Follow safe work practices for personal equipment safety, both in the laboratory and in the field. - Support the sales organization and customers with technical services and customer visits. - Maintain application testing equipment and the application lab suitable for technical service needs. Qualifications Required: - At least a graduate in chemical technologist or chemistry postgraduate or similar discipline. - 3 5 years of experience in water-based paints and coatings raw materials. - Formulating paints using different types of rheology modifiers to target specific viscosity and application in water-based systems. - Knowledge of other raw materials of water-based architectural coatings. - Experience with formulation/product development. - Ability to collect and analyze data.
