About the role
Senior Software Engineer Node.js | React.js | Next.js | AWS | Kafka 6 plus Years Remote / Hybrid Canada Shift (2:00 PM 11:00 PM IST) Roles & Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript. Build and enhance microservices and RESTful APIs for enterprise-grade applications. Design and implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka and related messaging technologies. Develop and optimize high-performance data pipelines, ETL processes, and backend integrations. Build cloud-native applications using AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, S3, and CloudWatch. Design and optimize database solutions using MongoDB, SQL, Redis, and DynamoDB. Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and high availability through best engineering practices. Implement robust error handling, retry mechanisms, dead-letter queues (DLQs), and monitoring solutions. Participate in system architecture, technical design discussions, and technology evaluations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend, DevOps, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Review code, mentor junior developers, and promote engineering best practices. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and cloud infrastructure improvements. Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions to ensure system reliability. Leverage AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to improve developer productivity and software quality.
