Data Modeling

As an accomplished Manager Data Modeling at NTT DATA, you will lead enterprise-grade data modeling and information architecture for the insurance portfolio, with a preference for specialty lines experience. Your responsibilities will include defining conceptual, logical, and physical models, standardizing data across core domains, partnering with various departments, and enabling analytics/AI use cases that drive measurable business value. Key Responsibilities: - Own the data modeling strategy across the insurance value chain, including underwriting, rating, policy admin, claims, billing, reinsurance, finance, and distribution. - Design robust models for specialty products such as E&O, D&O, Cyber, Marine, Aviation, Umbrella, including risk/exposure, coverage, limits, locations, and modifiers. - Establish standards, naming conventions, conformed dimensions, and model versioning/release practices. - Lead modeling for migrations and platform modernizations, ensuring performance, partitioning, and cost efficiency. - Engage senior stakeholders to prioritize use-cases and value outcomes, and lead and mentor a team of data modelers/analysts. Required Experience & Skills: - 8+ years total experience in Data & Analytics, with specific experience in data modeling, information architecture, and data design. - Strong technical skills in conceptual, logical, physical modeling, SQL, Azure/AWS/GCP, and lakehouse paradigms. - Deep domain knowledge in policy lifecycle, coverages/endorsements, claims & reserves, reinsurance, and financial data flows. - Leadership skills in executive presence, stakeholder management, team development, and workload planning. Preferred Qualifications: - Specialty lines depth, cloud certifications, experience with governance platforms, and experience with rating engines and underwriting workbenches.
