About the role
Job Title: Associate QA Engineer Experience: 2-3 Years Job Summary: We are seeking an Associate QA Engineer with 2-3 years of experience in data validation and reporting testing. The candidate should have strong expertise in Power BI, Advanced Excel, and T-SQL to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across BI reports and dashboards. Exposure to MicroStrategy (MSTR) and automation tools will be an added advantage. Key Responsibilities: Perform testing and validation of Power BI reports and dashboards Write and execute T-SQL queries to validate data accuracy and integrity Use Advanced Excel for data analysis, reconciliation, and comparison Create and execute test cases, test plans, and test scenarios Identify, log, and track defects using standard QA processes Collaborate with developers and business teams to resolve issues Ensure data consistency across multiple data sources and reports Support UAT and regression testing Participate in test automation initiatives where applicable Required Skills: Hands-on experience with Power BI Strong knowledge of Advanced Excel Proficiency in T-SQL / SQL Server Understanding of QA methodologies (STLC, SDLC) Experience in functional and data testing Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Nice to Have: Experience with MicroStrategy (MSTR) Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, Selenium, RPA tools) Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field Preferred Skills: Good communication and teamwork abilities Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
