Data Modeling

Role Overview: You will be the Manager Data Modeling responsible for leading enterprise-grade data modeling and information architecture for the insurance portfolio, focusing on specialty lines experience. Your role will involve defining conceptual, logical, and physical models, standardizing data across core domains, collaborating with various departments, and enabling analytics/AI use cases to drive measurable business value. Key Responsibilities: - Own the data modeling strategy across the insurance value chain, including underwriting, rating, policy admin, claims, billing, reinsurance, finance, and distribution - Design robust models for specialty insurance products such as E&O, D&O, Cyber, Marine, Aviation, Umbrella, covering risk/exposure, coverage, limits, locations, and modifiers - Establish standards, naming conventions, conformed dimensions, and model versioning/release practices - Lead modeling for migrations and platform modernizations, ensuring data harmonization across legacy and target cores - Engage senior stakeholders to prioritize use-cases and value outcomes, while also mentoring a team of data modelers/analysts Qualifications Required: - Minimum 8 years of experience in Data & Analytics, with 5+ years in data modeling/information architecture/data design and 5+ years in the insurance domain - Technical expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical modeling, dimensional/star/snowflake, data vault, temporal/versioned data design, SQL, Azure/AWS/GCP implementations, ETL/ELT, semantic layers/BI, and MDM concepts - Deep understanding of policy lifecycle, coverages/endorsements, exposures/locations, claims & reserves, reinsurance, broker/distribution, and financial data flows - Leadership skills including executive presence, stakeholder management, team development, and delivery governance in Agile/hybrid models Additional Company Details: NTT DATA is a $30 billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
