SDET / QA Engineer (Chennai)

About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented SDET / QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing test cases, identifying bugs, automating test scenarios, and collaborating closely with developers to deliver high-quality software. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts. - Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. - Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites. - Identify, document, track, and verify defects. - Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage. - Participate in release testing and quality assurance activities. - Monitor product quality and provide recommendations for improvements. - Ensure software meets performance, reliability, and security standards. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 3-5 years of experience in Software Testing or SDET roles. - Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing processes, and software development lifecycle. - Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar. - Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#. - Experience with API testing tools like Postman or REST Assured. - Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, etc.). - Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems. Positive to Have - Experience testing web and mobile applications. - Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Performance testing experience using JMeter or similar tools. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
