As a Network Operations Specialist at our organization, your role will involve monitoring, fixing, and maintaining the health of our network infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime and performance. You will need to utilize your deep technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Following are the key responsibilities associated with this position: - Network Monitoring: Continuously monitor network systems, servers, and applications using NOC tools to identify and resolve issues. - Incident Response: Detect, diagnose, and advance network incidents in accordance with established protocols. Follow customer concern protocol as needed. - Troubleshooting: Perform first-level and second-level solve of technology impacts, network connectivity, hardware, and software issues. - Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of incidents, resolutions, and system changes. - Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, IT support, and vendor teams to resolve complex issues. - Maintenance: Assist in routine maintenance tasks such as patching, upgrades, and configuration changes. - Reporting: Generate performance and incident reports for management review. - Compliance: Ensure alignment to security policies, operational standards, and service-level agreements (SLAs). Qualifications required for this role include: - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). - 1-3 years of experience in a NOC, IT support, or network administration role. - Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco Thousand Eyes, Dynatrace, Splunk). - Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, routing, switching). - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. - Superb communication and documentation abilities. - Ability to work in a 24/7 environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required. - Industry certifications (CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent) preferred.
