About the role
As an architect at NVIDIA, you will play a crucial role in driving architectural performance for next-generation AI server systems. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze workloads of interest on existing silicon, focusing on at-scale AI workloads and high-performance computing applications. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define performance metrics, develop tests, and benchmarking methodologies. - Conduct comprehensive performance evaluations, identify bottlenecks, and recommend effective solutions. - Propose architectural features based on workload analysis and silicon studies to optimize system performance. - Influence design choices impacting overall system performance. - Act as a subject matter expert on system performance, providing guidance and support to the engineering team. - Ensure cutting-edge performance of NVIDIA's AI server systems through architectural principles, workload understanding, and silicon evaluation. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field; a PhD is a plus. - 10+ years of practical experience in hardware architecture across various areas. - Expertise in high-performance networking technologies or performance optimizations for deep learning, HPC, or cloud computing environments. - Proficiency in benchmarking tools and methodologies, developing microbenchmarks, and using performance analysis tools. - Strong programming skills in languages like C, C++, and Python. - Ability to work within large, complex software repositories.
