About the role
Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) Contract :9 Months Work Location: Pune (Hybrid) Need Local Candidates Position Description: We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with 2-4 years of experience to support and manage the Oracle database environments enterprise. The role focuses on day-to-day operations, performance tuning, high availability, and database lifecycle support across on-prem and cloud platforms. The candidate will work closely with senior DBAs, application teams, and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient database services, while contributing to automation and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Skills & Expertise Core Technical Skills Oracle Database Administration (19c, 23c/ai preferred) Experience with Data Guard / standby databases. Backup & recovery (RMAN) and other tools, database monitoring. Required working knowledge of SQL / PL-SQL Platforms & Tools Unix/Linux (AIX preferred), Windows Cloud exposure: AWS/OCI Moderate experience in scripting: Shell / Python/Ansible Monitoring tools such as OEM or equivalent Experience & Qualifications Bachelors degree in computer science / IT / MCA (or equivalent) 2-4 years of experience in Oracle database administration Experience supporting production environments in 24x7 operations Support during US hours/ night shift IST. Exposure to high availability, performance tuning, and migrations Behavioral Competencies Troubleshooting and analytical skills Ability to work in a team-oriented environment Effective communication with technical stakeholders Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
