About the role
About the program This is a remote and flexible internship that is part of Obliq Labs in house product development. Participants will contribute directly to the research and planning of Forge, an AI powered software planning platform. This is not a training only internship. Every task completed during the program contributes to the development of a real product that is being built for launch. Participants will research real world software systems and convert them into structured software architecture documentation using a standardized framework. The work includes requirement analysis, business rules, operational workflows, functional modules, entity relationships, database design, API contracts, architecture planning, security considerations, scalability planning, architectural decision records, variation points, and common system evolution scenarios. Each participant will document multiple software systems while following the same documentation standards to ensure consistency, accuracy, and high quality outputs. The final deliverables become part of the Forge knowledge base and are used to improve blueprint generation, architectural reasoning, and future product capabilities. This internship is designed for students interested in Product Research, Requirement Engineering, System Design, Software Architecture, and Technical Documentation. Participants will gain practical experience in understanding how software products are planned before development begins, how architectural decisions are made based on business requirements and technical constraints, and how structured system documentation supports modern AI assisted software development. Throughout the internship, participants will receive documentation standards, review sessions, regular feedback, and mentorship to improve the quality of their research and documentation. Outstanding contributors may be invited to continue contributing to future research and product development initiatives at Obliq Labs.
