Early joiners will influence how the hub operates and help shape the future state of some of Officeworks core technology ecosystem. Why this role exists: The Senior SAP Platform Lead leads technical landscape operations, ensuring the stability, performance, and lifecycle management of the SAP environment. By owning upgrades, disaster recovery planning, and technical health, the role provides the high-level oversight necessary to maintain high system availability for business-critical operations. It serves as a dedicated technical authority to solve complex system issues and manage operational costs while ensuring the platform remains secure and compliant. Where you will make a difference: In this role you will: Strategy & Technical Lifecycle: Own SAP landscapes, upgrades, and disaster recovery to ensure long-term platform stability. Manage technical lifecycle activities, including system health and performance tuning. Direct disaster recovery (DR) planning and provide oversight for patching activities. Develop and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned to the overall strategy and strategic objectives. Governance & Compliance: Provide cost management oversight for technical operations. Integrate compliance requirements into technical business practices and planning. Ensure all tasks and activities are conducted in accordance with all applicable laws. Develop and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned to the overall strategy. Technical Delivery & Operations: Ensure high system availability and optimized performance levels. Solve complex technical and system issues across the landscape. Monitor system health and performance tuning to maintain environment stability. Technical Teams: Developers, Integration Teams, Security, and Cloud/Infrastructure Teams. External Partners: SAP and Infrastructure Vendors. Operational Stability: Successful delivery of upgrades, health checks, and patching oversight. Readiness: Effective disaster recovery planning and execution. Operates in line with applicable Officeworks company policies and Code of Conduct. Qualifications and work experience: Essential: Education: Degree in I.T. or Engineering. Experience: Minimum 7 years of SAP BASIS experience. Technical Skills: Expert knowledge in system administration and performance tuning. Leadership: Proven leadership skills and ability to manage technical domains. Technology Knowledge: Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, Event Mesh, SAP Cloud ALM / Solution Manager, LeanIX, Jira, Confluence, CI/CD Toolchains, and Monitoring/Cost Management Tools.
