Job Description Software Developer (Embedded & EV Control Systems) Company: Olectra Greentech Limited Location: Hyderabad Corporate Office Industry: Electric Commercial Vehicle Manufacturing (E-Bus / EV Platforms) Experience: 39 Years Qualification: B.E./B.Tech / M.Tech Electronics, ECE, Electrical, Embedded Systems, Automotive, Mechatronics, Computer Science Key Technical Responsibilities - Design, Develop, Test, Validate and integrate the Embedded and Application Software of Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) for Electric Buses and Trucks. - Perform Model-Based Software Development (MBSD) using MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow for EV control strategies and vehicle functions. - Develop production-level Embedded C/C++ software for automotive ECUs and real-time applications. - Generate production-ready software through Auto-Code Generation tools and optimize generated code for memory utilization, execution timing, and processor efficiency. - Design software architecture, control algorithms, diagnostic functionalities, and communication interfaces for EV systems. - Implement CAN, CAN FD, UDS, J1939, LIN communication stacks and vehicle diagnostics functionalities. - Work on software requirement analysis, low-level design (LLD), high-level design (HLD), software integration, and release management. - Develop software for embedded microcontrollers, ECU platforms, RTOS-based systems, and automotive-grade processors. - Perform software debugging using CANalyzer, CANoe, Lauterbach, oscilloscopes, and embedded debugging tools. - Execute SIL, PIL, HIL, Unit Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, and Functional Validation activities. - Implement Automotive Functional Safety requirements aligned with ISO 26262, including fault handling, diagnostics, watchdog implementation, redundancy logic, and fail-safe strategies. - Collaborate with System Engineering, Vehicle Integration, Calibration, Validation, Power Electronics, and Hardware teams for complete vehicle-level functionality development. - Support calibration and tuning activities for vehicle performance, regenerative braking, torque management, SOC estimation, and energy optimization. - Maintain software development lifecycle processes aligned with Automotive SPICE, coding guidelines, and software quality standards. - Basic understanding of other Electronics and Controls of EV; Battery Management System (BMS), Motor Control Logics, Energy Management System, Thermal Management, and Vehicle Supervisory Functions.
