Software Engineer in Test

Role Overview: You will be working as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) for OLX Autos Dealer Experience Team, playing a crucial role in shaping the future of OLX Autos to become the most trusted partner for car buyers and sellers. Your responsibilities will involve working with a diverse group of smart individuals, implementing and enhancing automation suits, and contributing to the development of high-quality android/ios/web apps. Key Responsibilities: - Work with an internationally diverse team to implement and improve automation suits for OLX Autos Dealer Experience Team. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and QA chapter to shape the high-quality culture of android/ios/web apps. - Contribute to feature acceptance scenarios from planning to go-live, developing a functional understanding and driving the automation lifecycle for native and web apps. - Utilize programming languages such as JavaScript (Java/Python/Golang as a good-to-have), test automation frameworks like Selenium and Appium, and tools like Jira and TestRail. - Apply QA principles and test design techniques, work with APIs and native android or ios clients, and ensure test coverage for corner cases. - Have a good understanding of agile development processes, automation patterns, and architectures like Microservices vs Monolithic. Qualifications Required: Must Have: - Minimum 2 years of experience in Engineering Automation and Functional Quality. - Proficiency in at least one programming language, with a preference for JavaScript. Knowledge of Java/Python/Golang is advantageous. - Experience working in agile (scrum/kanban) development and delivery processes. - Strong understanding of QA principles and test design techniques, familiarity with tools like Jira and TestRail. - Knowledge of test automation frameworks, test automation patterns, and working with APIs and native android or ios clients. Good to Have: - Experience with high traffic websites and 24/7 operation. - Hands-on experience with white box and black box testing, CI/CD, infrastructure knowledge, and familiarity with Microservices vs Monolithic architecture.
