Job Description: Senior Project Manager (Hands-On, Technical Delivery) Company Overview OLYMPAS INC. is a fast-growing technology company building consumer mobile applications and enterprise ERP solutions. We are looking for a hands-on, no-nonsense Project Manager who can bring order, accountability, and pace to a talented but currently fragmented team. Location Khadakpada, Kalyan West, Maharashtra, India This is a strictly in-office role. Work Schedule Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM 12:00 AM IST (to align with client/stakeholder time zones) Weekend work and extended hours will be required during release cycles, critical defect resolution, client escalations, or deadline crunches This role demands full flexibility and availability outside standard hours when business needs dictate Position Summary We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Project/Delivery Manager to take full ownership of a 20-member cross-functional technology team delivering two parallel products: a consumer mobile application and an enterprise ERP solution built on Laravel/PHP (with an active migration to Node.js). This is not a role for someone who manages from a dashboard you will be expected to be in the trenches, understand the technical architecture, challenge engineering decisions when needed, unblock issues in real time, and build a positive environment in the team and making sure that team comunicates effectively and has dated timelines, accountability and develops a culture of ownership, clarity, and on-time execution. Team You Will Manage (20 members) Quality Automation Testing Team 5 DevOps Engineers 2 Front-End, Back-End & Full-Stack Engineers 5 Laravel/PHP Developers 4 Additional Full-Stack Engineer (Node.js migration) 1 (Remaining headcount across leads/support roles) Products You Will Own 1. Mobile App (Android & iOS) Currently ~50% complete Development is temporarily blocked pending client direction and unsigned third-party API licenses In the interim, the team must continue enhancing UI/UX, building out the Admin Panel, adding incremental product value, and proactively generating improvement suggestions DevOps must stand up Dev, QA, and Production environments with full CI/CD pipelines, and conduct a complete architecture review identifying and closing any gaps immediately, without waiting for direction 2. ERP Solution (Laravel/PHP, migrating to Node.js) Currently in active development with a significant backlog of QA-identified defects PHP team is working through defect resolution A dedicated Full-Stack Engineer is concurrently leading the technology migration from Laravel/PHP to Node.js You will be responsible for sequencing defect fixes against migration work without derailing either stream Key Responsibilities Delivery & Execution Own end-to-end delivery of both products timelines, quality, budget, and scope with zero tolerance for vague or unaccountable commitments Break down all work into clear, time-bound deliverables with named owners; eliminate ambiguity in task assignment Track and report progress daily/weekly using clear metrics (velocity, defect burn-down, environment readiness, sprint completion) Proactively identify risks, blockers, and dependencies (e.g., pending third-party API licensing) and escalate with proposed solutions not just problems Ensure DevOps delivers Dev/QA/Prod environments and CI/CD pipelines on an aggressive timeline, and independently review architecture for gaps Team Leadership & Accountability Directly address the current culture of "passing the parcel" instill individual and team accountability through clear RACI, daily stand-ups, and visible ownership of tasks Diagnose and fix the root causes of communication breakdown among a co-located team this is a leadership and process failure, not a distance problem, and must be treated as such Conduct rigorous daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and 1:1s across all five sub-teams (QA Automation, DevOps, Front-End/Back-End/Full-Stack, Laravel/PHP, Migration) Set firm, realistic, and mutually agreed timelines no more vague delivery estimates; every commitment must have a date and an owner Build a culture where engineers proactively flag risks instead of hiding them until deadlines are missed Technical Oversight (Hands-On) Be technically fluent enough to review architecture decisions, sprint boards, code review cadence, defect logs, and CI/CD pipeline design you should be able to ask the right hard questions, not just relay status Work closely with QA Automation to ensure defect discovery translates into fast, prioritized resolution, not backlog pile-up Oversee the ERP migration to Node.js in parallel with ongoing Laravel defect fixes without resource conflict or duplicated effort Drive UI/UX enhancement and Admin Panel development on WINGS App during the client-direction pause, ensuring the team is never idle waiting on external dependencies Stakeholder & Client Management Manage communication with the client regarding API licensing delays and WINGS App direction, presenting clear options and recommendations rather than passively waiting Provide leadership/management with transparent, honest, and frequent status reporting good news and bad news alike Manage vendor/third-party coordination related to API licensing and any other external dependencies Process & Governance Implement and enforce project management best practices (Agile/Scrum or hybrid, as appropriate) across all sub-teams Introduce or tighten tools for task tracking, defect management, and CI/CD visibility (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar) Own budget management for the project resourcing, tooling, and any third-party costs Ensure documentation discipline: architecture docs, sprint notes, defect logs, and release notes are maintained and current Required Skills & Experience 815 years of overall experience, with at least 45 years in a Project/Delivery/Program Management role for software product teams Proven experience managing large (1520+ member), cross-functional technical teams simultaneously across multiple products Strong hands-on technical background prior experience as a developer, tech lead, or architect strongly preferred; must be able to read architecture diagrams, understand CI/CD pipelines, and engage credibly with engineers on technical trade-offs Demonstrated experience managing mobile app development (Android & iOS) and enterprise/ERP software delivery Working knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud/on-prem environment setup (Dev/QA/Prod) Familiarity with Laravel/PHP and Node.js ecosystems sufficient to manage migration risk and defect triage intelligently Strong experience in QA/test automation processes and defect management Track record of turning around underperforming or dysfunctional teams this role explicitly requires fixing a team with communication and accountability problems Excellent stakeholder management skills, including direct client-facing communication on sensitive topics like delays and licensing Strong command of Agile/Scrum methodology; PMP, CSM, PSM, or equivalent certification preferred Exceptional communication skills verbal, written, and the ability to cut through ambiguity and force clarity from a team that has defaulted to vague answers Personal Attributes We Are Looking For A true "player-coach" hands-on enough to dive into technical detail, senior enough to command respect and enforce accountability Low tolerance for excuses, high tolerance for hard conversations Comfortable working extended and non-standard hours (3 PM12 AM IST, plus weekends when required) without it affecting delivery quality Thrives in ambiguity able to keep a team productive and motivated even when a major product's direction is paused pending external client decisions Direct, transparent communicator who surfaces problems early rather than letting them surface at the deadline High ownership mentality treats budget, timeline, and quality as personal responsibilities, not just team outputs What Success Looks Like in This Role WINGS App UI/Admin Panel enhancements ship on a predictable cadence despite the client-direction pause Dev/QA/Prod environments and CI/CD pipeline are fully operational, with architecture gaps identified and closed proactively ERP defect backlog shows consistent, measurable burn-down while the Node.js migration progresses without conflict Daily stand-ups and sprint commitments are reliable dates are met, or risks are flagged well in advance, not discovered after the fact A measurable, visible shift from "passing the parcel" to individual accountability across all five sub-teams Client relationship on WINGS App licensing/direction is proactively managed, not reactively handled
