About the role
As a Server and Storage Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of server and storage infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include: - Architecting, installing, configuring, and tuning server and storage systems - Managing remote systems on Windows and Linux platforms - Conducting routine maintenance and troubleshooting tasks - Configuring and optimizing load balancers - Implementing system automation for efficiency - Documenting and diagramming server, network, and storage setups - Being on call 24x7 for system support - Traveling to hosting sites for system deployment and maintenance - Participating in incident reviews and problem management To excel in this role, you must meet the following requirements: - 2-5 years of experience in Windows Administration - 2-5 years of experience in Linux Administration - 1-2 years of experience in Storage and Backup management - Experience in managing large environments with over 200 servers - Strong grasp of networking fundamentals such as TCPIP, WAN, and Load balancers - Proficiency in system administration fundamentals including SAN, RAID, NFS, DNS, and Authentication - Familiarity with configuration and provisioning management like patch management - 2-3 years of experience in Virtualization/Cloud technologies like VMWare, Xen, or AWS Additionally, the following skills and experiences are highly desirable: - Proficiency in LDAP/SAML/AD management - Expertise in DNS management - ITIL certification or relevant experience - Configuration experience with Oracle Financials/MySQL systems - Capacity management skills - Knowledge in managing Apache/IIS/Java applications - Experience with SOX/PCI compliance management - Experience in License/inventory management If you are a clear thinker passionate about automation and system improvement, customer service-centric, and a self-starter with a collaborative spirit, we encourage you to apply by emailing your resume to the provided address.
