Backend Development Engineer

Job Description: We are looking for an enthusiastic Backend Development Engineer with 0 1 year of experience (including internships or project-based experience) and strong foundational knowledge in backend development. The ideal candidate should have basic hands-on exposure to Spring Boot, REST APIs, relational databases, and an understanding of OOP and SOLID principles. You will work closely with the team to build, maintain, and optimize backend services for scalable applications. Key Responsibilities: Assist in developing high-performance, low-latency backend applications. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code with guidance from senior engineers. Support Test-Driven Development (TDD) and participate in unit testing. Help in designing and developing RESTful APIs and integration services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to backend solutions. Debug, troubleshoot, and improve existing services under mentorship. Required Skills Qualifications: Basic knowledge of Spring Boot and Spring Framework (academic or project experience). Familiarity with Gradle or similar build tools (Maven acceptable). Exposure to JOOQ or any SQL query builder / ORM tools is a plus. Basic understanding of PostgreSQL or any RDBMS and ability to write simple queries. Understanding of REST API development concepts. Good grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and SOLID principles. Awareness of Continuous Integration (CI) practices. Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to learn. Education Experience: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. Internship experience, academic projects, or self-built backend applications demonstrating relevant skills.
