About the role
As part of the onsemi GaN division, you will contribute to the development and proliferation of 40V to 1200V GaN in various key applications, with products such as transistor, bidirectional switch, integrated power stage, and smart Power IC.
Provides technical leadership, drives architecture decisions, and collaborates closely with device, package, and reliability teams.
Create ‘customer ready’ material to support product promotion and engagement at customers, including evaluation board, demo board, datasheet, application notes, white papers, and other collaterals
Optimize onsemi content in customer systems
Showcase onsemi technology and breadth of portfolio
Demonstrate how customers can benefit from integration of onsemi technology
Drive cross-selling/solution-selling across the onsemi portfolio
Key Responsibilities:
Execute comprehensive product validation based on benchmark analysis
Identify the real system needs through deeper engagement with customers
Design, bring up, and validate power electronic hardware prototypes
Drive electrical, thermal, EMI, and reliability debugging and root‑cause analysis
Promote, design-in and validate GaN solutions into customer’s systems
Support marketing with roadmap creation and product definitions
Drive schematics and layouts for reference designs and customer specific solutions
Create documentation and collateral such as analysis & measurement reports, application notes, white papers user manuals and datasheets
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across projects

What we are looking for
-
Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics
-
10+ years of experience in power electronics and/or wide‑bandgap semiconductor applications

Ability to setup and run simulations including Spice, Plecs, Simplis, etc
-
Strong hands-on experience
-
Strong ‘PCB level’ design and debugging skills

Experience in product definition is a strong plus

Experience and know-how in specific applications: ACDC power supplies, DCDC stages, AI server, motordrive, renewable energy systems

Willingness to travel - 30%
