Sr. Backend Engineer

We are seeking an experienced backend engineer to architect and implement developer-friendly APIs. The role demands a comprehensive understanding of third-party API services to develop a reliable and scalable infrastructure. The candidate will lead the design and development of these applications, collaborating closely with teams across various product infrastructure layers. Success in this position requires a highly collaborative mindset and a dedication to excellence. Responsibilities: Build, own, and maintain backend data infrastructure.Design and implement database and storage solutions that fit the needs for both data transactions and reporting.Build a highly scalable and robust backend architecture ground up.Test, debug, and maintain the application software throughout the product lifecycle. Requirements: 5+ years of cumulative experience working as a full-stack engineer.Expertise in using Python + Flask + Django + FastAPISkilled in deploying serverless applications and managing relational databases (PostgreSQL).Strong implementation skills with AWS suite (EC2 S3 RDS, ELB, VPC, Cognito, Cloudwatch).Experience in building, testing, and deploying container applications using Docker.Working knowledge of API development for mobile/ web use.Contributions to open-source will be a plus.Excellent ability to prioritise and communicate in a fast-paced environment. Relevance of companies/setups worked with: Experience in working with a scaling product.Experience of working on revamping the existing scratchy product to achieve PMF.Must be good communicators as everyone here talks to end users.
