Server Deployment and Configuration: - Deploy, configure, and maintain server hardware, operating systems, and associated software. - Install and update server software, patches, and security updates as necessary. - Set up and manage virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) if applicable. 2. System Monitoring and Performance Optimization: - Monitor server performance, resource utilization, and network connectivity to identify and resolve issues promptly. - Conduct system performance tuning and optimization to ensure effective operation and response times. - Implement load balancing and failover mechanisms for high availability and reliability. 3. Security and Data Protection: - Implement and maintain robust security measures to safeguard servers and data from unauthorized access, viruses, and malware. - Create and enforce server access controls, user accounts, and permissions. - Conduct regular backups and ensure data integrity to prevent data loss. 4. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: - Respond to server-related incidents and problems, troubleshoot root causes, and resolve issues within defined service level agreements (SLAs). - Collaborate with other IT teams to diagnose and address complex technical problems. 5. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: - Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures for server systems. - Participate in disaster recovery drills and testing to validate the effectiveness of recovery plans. 6. Documentation and Reporting: - Maintain comprehensive documentation of server configurations, changes, and procedures. - Generate regular reports on server performance, capacity, and incident .
