Location: Tonawanda, NY

Duration: 1 Year (Contract with Possible Extension)

Job Description:

Candidate could be assigned to any shift, they do not bounce around to different shifts on a normal basis, may need to cover other shifts if an emergency or someone is on vacation, but overall they will be assigned to one shift.

Expectation is 2-3 weekend shifts per month. They will work Saturday, Sundays, and Holidays.

Onsite – 5 days/week – no remote

Daily Schedule/Shift:

1st Shift: 7am-3:30pm

2nd shift: 3pm-11:30pm

3rd shift: 11pm-7AM

Please note, candidate will need to come a half hour early prior to start of the shift.

Overtime Estimate: 10 hrs/week – if they are willing to work they can work more overtime

Be prepared to work 50 hours/week

Up to 20% - might need to travel to support their new project which requires travel to Michigan, not a regular part of the job, on an as needed basis, approx. 6 times per year.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.

• 2-4 years experience required.

Responsibilities

• Summary:

The main function of a Industrial Engineer is to design, develop, test and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis and production coordination. A typical Industrial Engineer is tasked with increasing productivity through the management of people, methods of business organization and technology.

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product.

• Develop manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization.

• Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and utilities.

• Plan and establish sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilization.

• Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.

• Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.

• Estimate production cost and effect of product design changes for management review, action, and control.

• Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency using drafting tools and computer.
