Your Role The Principal Data Engineer sits within the Business Intelligence & Analytics function as a part of the Tech and Ops, reporting to the Manager Data. The Engineer will be part of a small Team that owns the end-to-end process of managing the availability, reliability, and accessibility of data in a MS SQL data mart. The role will be responsible for leading the creation, maintenance, and support of the data mart environment, including T-SQL tables, stored procedures, views, and functions. The Principal Data Engineer will be responsible for ensuring all process and data imports are functioning as designed and any issues are addressed in a timely and productive manner. In addition, they will work on setting up and maintaining ETL processes for the data mart utilizing the most appropriate tool for the type connection and data source. All work is done in partnership with their counterparts in other functions within Business Intelligence to ensure consistency of the data services and deliverables that BI & Analytics provides, as well as in partnership with their Business and/or Technology counterparts.
