About the role
As a Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture professional, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS. - Create and maintain cloud architecture diagrams, network topology, infrastructure flows, security controls, and deployment models. - Manage cloud services including EC2, VPC, Route 53, ALB, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudFront, WAF, and Security Groups. - Optimize infrastructure performance, availability, reliability, and scalability. In the realm of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), you will be expected to: - Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices. - Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes. - Maintain reusable and scalable infrastructure modules. Your responsibilities will also extend to CI/CD & Automation, where you will: - Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git-based workflows. - Implement GitOps practices and deployment automation. - Automate application deployment, infrastructure provisioning, and operational workflows. - Improve deployment efficiency and reduce manual intervention. For Kubernetes & Containerization, you will need to: - Deploy and manage applications on Kubernetes clusters (EKS preferred). - Manage Kubernetes workloads, services, ingress controllers, and cluster operations. - Utilize tools like Helm, Kustomize, and adhere to container orchestration best practices. - Support microservices-based architectures and cloud-native applications. When it comes to Cloud Security & Governance, your role will involve: - Implementing cloud security best practices across IAM, networking, encryption, KMS, WAF, and access controls. - Ensuring compliance with organizational security standards. - Monitoring vulnerabilities and implementing remediation strategies. Additionally, you will be responsible for Monitoring, Reliability & Operations, including: - Monitoring infrastructure health, performance, utilization, and costs. - Configuring alerts, dashboards, and operational monitoring. - Performing root cause analysis and troubleshooting production issues. - Supporting production deployments and release management activities. In the domain of Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity, you will: - Design and implement backup, disaster recovery, and failover strategies. - Define and manage RTO (Recovery Time Objective) and RPO (Recovery Point Objective). - Ensure business continuity through highly available and resilient architectures. Lastly, in terms of Collaboration & Leadership, you will need to: - Work closely with Product, Development, QA, and Engineering teams. - Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance. - Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and support process improvements.
