Job Title: Lead Java Developer Location: Pune, Maharashtra Experience: 8+ Years Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role: We are looking for a highly skilled Java Programmer Lead with strong technical leadership capabilities and hands-on expertise in building scalable, cloud-native microservices platforms. The ideal candidate will work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business needs. This role requires a blend of architecture, hands-on coding, and team mentoring, with a strong focus on payment domain systems, performance optimization, and modern engineering practices. Roles & Responsibilities Provide strong technology leadership and collaborate closely with customers to deliver business solutions Review and guide technical design to ensure optimal architecture and implementation Ensure adherence to application engineering guidelines, processes, and best practices Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable applications Work with cross-functional teams to achieve shared business goals Evaluate service-level issues and implement improvements to enhance system performance Write high-quality code aligned with coding standards and architectural principles Mentor team members on best practices and modern development methodologies Drive adoption of relevant technologies to improve engineering efficiency Ensure delivery of solutions with the highest quality standards Participate in software development lifecycle including analysis, development, testing, and deployment Identify and resolve production and non-production application issues Convert business requirements into technical deliverables (Agile stories/tasks) Recommend improvements to enhance existing Java applications and processes Stay updated with emerging technologies and software development trends Skills & Experience Required 8+ years of experience in application design, development, and architecture Strong expertise in Java 8+, J2EE technologies, and design patterns Hands-on experience in Microservices architecture (minimum 2+ years) Strong working knowledge of Spring ecosystem: Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, Spring Cloud (Config, Eureka) Experience in service discovery & registration (Eureka, Consul) Expertise in Microservices observability tools: Logging: ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Tracing: Zipkin, Fault tolerance: Hystrix Strong knowledge of multithreading, memory management, and Java internals Hands-on experience with JDK 1.8, Maven, Git/Bitbucket Why Optimus Lead the future of intelligent financial operations with Optimus.
